The AFSO Futures Fund
Our students are achieving high TOEFL scores, earning top marks in their credit-bearing classes, and receiving admission offers, often with scholarships attached, to universities around the world. This is an amazing achievement, especially considering that the United States closed its doors to Afghan students in June, 2025.
But challenges remain. Scholarships often don't cover room and board, books, computer, travel, visa, and other costs essential to attending university outside Afghanistan. AFSO has no funds for university scholarships, but by building a dedicated account for students who have only a small funding gap to close, we may be able to make the difference between an education and life under gender apartheid.
FOR A SHORT TIME, WE HAVE A $40,000 MATCH OFFER FOR ALL DONATIONS TO THE FUTURES FUND.
Funds will be awarded according to need and by application to our committee on university opportunities. We cannot accept funds for individual students.

AFSO GIVING CIRCLES

A contribution of $370 educates a woman for a year, and donors can be in touch with the student receiving their gift. CONNECTIONS CIRCLE members know that one-on-one communication is essential to student success.

$2,500 will pay for data packages for 10 women for one year. COMMUNICATORS make it possible for our students to attend classes and communicate with their professors.

$3,700 will educate 10 women for one year. BRIDGE BUILDERS are creating the pathway for our students to complete their education with AFSO and universities outside Afghanistan. In thanks, they receive a book of stories written by AFSO students.

A contribution of $37,000 or more will educate 100 women, one-fifth of the women we serve, for one year. VISIONARIES are the bedrock of our program, assuring that it can continue so long as women in Afghanistan are denied education.
Gifts of all sizes are welcome. $250 will cover data packages for a year of a student's education with AFSO. $123 will cover a student's education for a trimester.
