The Mission
Afghanistan is the only country in the world where women and girls are banned from secondary and higher education. More than 6,000 women remain on AFSO's waitlist seeking access to live education and mentorship through encrypted technology.
Educating women strengthens families, communities, and economies. Through live university-level courses, mentorship, English language preparation, and pathways to scholarships abroad, AFSO helps women continue their education despite Taliban restrictions.
The Opportunity
This video conveys the vision one of our students shared of her life before and since AFSO.
You can make a positive difference. Sponsor A Future today in honor of someone who lent you wings, sometime in your life.
A tax-deductible leadership gift of $5,000 opens doors to higher education and global opportunity for Afghan women. Your support helps provide university-level education, mentorship, internet access, English language preparation, and university advising for women whose education was cut short by Taliban restrictions.
A $5,000 gift represents 1% of AFSO's total operating budget and supports a dozen students annually.
Sponsors will be connected with an AFSO Student Ambassador and receive updates from her on her educational journey, aspirations, and achievements. Sponsors also become members of the AFSO Futures Circle and receive invitations to special events, student stories, and impact updates.
