Mondino, Anna

Anna Mondino is the Head of a Research Unit at the San Raffaele Scientific Institute, in Milan, Italy. Her research focuses on the characterization of immune response to cancer and ways to ameliorate it. Her group is interested in exploiting T lymphocyte as living drugs, and in genetic engineering for redirecting patients T cells against their own disease. Her work has been published internationally, and she has received research grants. She teaches as adjunct professor within university courses and participates to outreach activities to communicate science outside research labs. She holds a PhD in Molecular Oncology from the University of Torino and has spent several years in New York and Minneapolis.
