Independent scholar

A graduate of UC Berkeley and the University of Arizona College of Law, Janel first clerked for a judge, and then worked in the area of employment discrimination and commercial litigation. In 2011, she started volunteering at the College and Career Center at Sunset High School, and for over 10 years has helped guide students through the college and graduate school application process. In her free time, Janel loves board games, long walks with her dog, and harvesting and creating treats from her garden.
