Grenert, Briana

Professor Briana Grenert is a PhD candidate in Religion at Duke University. Her research explores Christianity, angelology, and intercultural exchanges in late antiquity and the Middle Ages, and her dissertation covers the reception of Jezebel in Christian and Jewish literature. She has presents on Syriac and Byzantine literature, biblical reception, and religious iconography, and her work includes both scholarly publications and creative writing. With teaching and research experience across linguistic traditions and using digital humanities methodologies, she is committed to making ancient texts accessible to contemporary audiences.
