Jane Barstow is professor emerita in the English department of the University of Hartford. She is the author of One Hundred Years of American Women Writing, 1848-1948 and continues to lecture on women writers, including Edith Wharton, Toni Morrison, Edwidge Danticat and Margaret Atwood.
